30 Years Watching Republicans
Some things, like manure, just gotta be spread.
I created this site to make sure the deeds of the conservative Republicans and the "Tea Party" supporters can never be hidden from the light of day. Since rightwing interests own all major media outlets in the USA, the danger if shadow censorship is quite real. When stories of rightwing criminality come to light the (so-called liberal) main-stream-media hush them up pretty fast. Conservative will even attempt to re-write history - and we've seen members of the Republican camp attempt to do just that (see Wikipedia and attempts to re-write entries on American History).
Criminal Republicans won't stop and they won't compromise. The fact they will not compromise makes them incompatible with American life as we have come to know it.
The Republican party is edging closer and closer to the Nazi party of 1940s Germany. Many on the Left are waking up. A generation has grown under the tender tutelage of Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Reilly and their imitators who foment stochastic terrorism against whatever target they name on their Hatriot programs.
What is left of free thinking, compassionate American citizens must start fighting back. We've learned that in order to make a bully back off you need to use their own tactics, no matter how low-brow other liberals may view them.
Our society has done a steady creeping attack job on liberals and the left for many years. Let me illustrate what has happened with a little story.
Once upon a time two boys were good friends. Let's call them boy A and boy B. They would meet on the playground, make other friends, play all day and go home as good friends. They didn't always agree on every subject but any arguments they have blew over like a storm and they found their friendship strong enough to withstand these differences in opinion. After all, both of them only wanted to have fun and help the other people on the playground to be safe and have fun, no matter what little disagreements they may have.
One day a third boy showed up, New in the neighborhood, he made friends with the help of the two boys and was accpeted into their environment. This boy, boy C, found it amusing for some reason to pick on boy A and he'd make an occasional joke about his clothes, his hair, whatever struck his fancy for the day. This would always elicit giggles and laughter from certain others on the playground, even some of boy A's friends.
Boy A, being a smart and tough lad, ignored it all. Boy C soon got tired with his initial comments and his friends began ignoring him too, so he amped up the attacks. He made derogatory comments about boy A's family, his friends, even making up stories about what boy A might do in imaginary situations. Once again the giggles and laughter commenced and boy C found it fun to gather in groups and talk about boy A, which solidified his position in the playground society. He had a fan base.
Soon it happened that boy A could not appear on the playground without being taunted. His old friends, even boy B, avoided him. He discovered nasty things written about him in the bathroom, nasty rumors about his parents came to his ears. Kids who didn't even know him or had ever met him looked at him and called him names - names that had originated from boy C.
Day after day this went on. Boy A ignored it all, even when friends of boy C pushed him down or stole his lunch or destroyed it, feeling he was being slighted but being unwilling to engage in the nastiness. It transfered to boy A's friends, who he found also were under attack. He found himself in situation where he became the target of physical abuse at the hands of people who were seen with boy C.
Day after day. Week after week. Then one day, while waiting in line at school, boy C cut in front of boy A. Boy A asked him to go to the end of the line and boy C laughed and said "what are you gonna do about it?". Boy A finally had enough. Ignoring his principles, he punched boy C in the nose.
The usual thing happened. Both boys went to the principles office. Boy C crying, boy A angry and confused. When the principle asked what happened, boy C screamed "I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!!!!!!"
The story above illustrates 4 things that we are now seeing in society.
1) Liberals and those on the "left" have put up with attacks, verbal and even physical, from the right for years, decades even.,
2) People like Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly, Glen Beck, Micheal Savage and their imitators have made careers out of demonizing and verbally abusing their opponents for a generation. They make money at it. They won't stop.
3) Eventually even the nicest most polite person gets tired of the abuse.
4) The people on the right, those who have thoroughly enjoyed the actions of their Hatriot radio heroes, and have benefitted from their activities financially and emotionall, are noticing that us liberals are fighting back and they are cying "UNFAIR!" and "WHAT''S WRONG WITH THE LEFT???". I find this hilarious.
Hey righties, YOU made people like ME. Aren't you happy with your work?
