Plan to Fix Congress

It's clear that our elected officials don't care about doing anything for main street Americans. You can't blame them, what with the huge loads of cash dropped into their hands by lobbyists, why should they listen to the people who don't take them to (and buy them) lunch? We only put them in office. We only pay their salaries. We aren't making them rich like their lobbyist buddies. In this environment, how can we pressure them to do something for the citizens?

Fear. That is the only way. I suggest the following way to pressure congress.

Every registered voter gets a ticket. Once a year a drawing is held and the ticket holder gets a free trip to Washington to meet all the Representatives and Congressman in one big room. The elected officials would be tied to their chairs with their names clearly visible on placards above their heads.

The lucky winner would get a baseball bat. He would be given 10 seconds to perform any kind of corrective action on our elected officials he/she would like. 10 seconds to move through the crowd and crush skulls, smash hands, destroy faces, etc., if that is what they wanted to do, with NO repercussions whatsoever. The winner would also be anonymous so no retaliation could be possible.

Mean? Brutal? Barbaric? Nasty? This is no less than what their activities have done to main street Americans. We can NOT influence our elected officials now - only BIG money and BIG corporations have a chance of doing that. Us little guys on main street? They laugh at us. We are "stray animals", and to aid us is to insure more strays in the future.
